Banished

I have some terrible news. Mercutio, a good friend of Romeo, and Tybalt, a cousin of Juliet, engaged in a duel in the streets of Verona. In the end, Mercutio was slain and taken away by Death. Romeo, filled with rage, killed Tybalt to avenge his friend's death. I had hoped it wouldn't have come to this. This family rivalry needs to stop. Murder is a mortal sin. Those who murder will be sent to Hell. As disappointed I am in Romeo for committing a sin, I really do not care. I am just worried.  Fortunately the Prince decided to only banish Romeo.

Romeo was in my cell a while ago to hide from the authorities. I asked him to come out from hiding in my wardrobe but he continuously refused. Juliet's nurse was able to get him out when she came and visit but when she told him how distraught Juliet was when she heard the news, Romeo attempted to commit suicide. Of course, we were able to stop him from doing so. We told Romeo to go to Mantua. While he is in Mantua I shall try to make Romeo and Juliet's marriage public knowledge. Perhaps this will help the situation. I also told him that before he leaves for Mantua he should meet with Juliet. He should explain to her why everything happened and where he will be going for the time being. I know she will understand him. Oh holy guardian angel, ask the Lord to bless the journey which Romeo undertakes.
